Manufacture of pulp
The company is engaged in the manufacture and supply of special cellulose pulps. It was founded in 1952 as a producer of rice straw pulp using the residue of the regional rice crop from the delta of the Ebro river. It has its registered head office in Tortosa, Tarragona, Spain. The company utilizes raw materials such as flax, true hemp, sisal, abaca and jute. Each lot of raw materials is subjected to a range of laboratory tests to ensure that they are consistently within the established parameters and assure traceability through every aspect of its process. The company's end products include the textile pulps (flax pulp, hemp pulp) and porous pulp (sisal pulp, abaca pulp, and jute pulp). These products are generally used for the manufacture of bank note and security paper, plug wrap paper, tea bag paper, meat casing paper, vacuum bag paper, filtration paper, capacitor/condenser paper, cigarette paper, absorbent paper, printing and writing paper, and art and decorative paper. The company's strategy is to become the most competitive supplier of special cellulose pulps worldwide.
